Sports Network International would like to thank the many football and cheer programs that made themselves a part of the NYFC event. Win or lose, these teams deserve our praise and respect. Those organizations that attend the National Youth Football Championships understand the event is designed to provide a weekend of fun, positive memories and great teachable moments win or lose, on and off the playing field. It rewards the hard work and sacrifice the parents, players and coaches have undertaken since the Summer and oftentimes year-round!
We are annually honored to have so many fine organizations attend the NYFC from big cities and small communities found across the United States. While the NYFC is not and never has been solely about winning and losing, it is important to recognize those teams that have captured top finishes within their competition bracket. Congratulations to all teams and we hope everyone had a great time at the most recent NYFC event. We hope that their NYFC experience was something that gives every attendee positive lifetime memories to keep forever, win or lose.
The number of teams, the geographic spread and overall quality of those teams actually attending an event are the true measures of how "National" the scope of the tournament. Without question, the NYFC is the leader on all counts with over 260,000 past attendees from across North America.
Because the NYFC annually matches teams for play from scores of leagues across the Americas, and because all of these leagues have slight and sometimes profound differences between them regarding geographic boundaries, age/weight structure, use of heavy line players, lightweight/older players, age based leagues, grade based leagues, etc. etc. the teams that attend the NYFC understand that every year is different in every respect. This is especiially true in regards to the match-ups the teams face every year. But over four decades of history shows that the NYFC ROUTINELY gives teams the ability to do something they can never do by staying home - play exciting post-season football in a controlled environment with an overseeing body that understands youth football because it is run by people that have been involved in youth football at all levels. We also HAVE kids ourselves, we have coached kids for decades, and we understand what makes something special for the kids at the NYFC - and we never lose sight of that in all we do.
In recent years, we have seen dozens of former players become coaches at the NYFC. We also have more and more teams that have attended the event for 10, 15 and even 20 consecutive years! This type of commitment is staggering and speaks to the overall quality and fun that these teams experience by attending the NYFC. Win or lose, the teams that attend have a great time that provides a huge cherry on the end of a season for these programs. Congratulations to all of the NYFC teams and we hope everyone had a great time at the most recent NYFC event.
