Sports Network International has secured numerous local, national and even international sponsors for this amazing military drill extravaganza. In order to ensure this event becomes an annual part of the local events calendar, SNI will require the assistance of local individuals and businesses each year who are willing to assist in defraying the costs of putting together such a tremendous weekend of activities. Through both corporate and individual involvement, we at SNI look forward to bringing this military recognition and appreciation weekend to the greater Halifax area for many years to come.

The first weekend in May, the Volusia County Military Salute Weekend will be held at the Ocean Center in combination with the National High School Drill Team Championships (NHSDTC). This competition has been the largest and finest gathering of military drill & ceremony units for well over two decades. Nearly 100,000 cadets have gone on to stellar careers, both civilian and military after their days of competing at the legendary NHSDTC were over. This event provides the perfect backdrop to host this military appreciation celebration as over 6,000 active-duty, reservists, and JROTC/ROTC cadets and their families will be in attendance throughout the weekend from some of the most high-profile military posts from across the nation.

We are currently seeking local and regional businesses that would like to contribute to this special military weekend through a corporate sponsorship. There are many benefits to being a sponsor of this patriotic local event as you can rightly imagine. Not only will you receive a block of tickets that can be given to employees, customers or local non-profit groups on your behalf, you will also be able to advertise your business to the over 6,000 attendees for a three-day period. The community will be enriched through the hosting of this event and your support may be the key to making this an annual festivity.

Sports Network International has set aside 1,000 seats for corporate sponsors within the Ocean Center Arena. There are a variety of sponsorship levels available. The support of your business for this worthwhile community service event will go a long way in keeping this annual, exciting salute to the military here in the greater Daytona Beach area. Corporate sponsors can select Gold, Silver or Bronze levels entitling them to numerous benefits including: reserved seating blocks of tickets for all performances, ad placement in our event program, website listing and complimentary parking passes. Higher levels also include signage within the Ocean Center, distribution of flyers or coupons, VIP parking passes and even lunch with a performance unit. Businesses can also reserve additional tickets for the event as well as purchase as few tickets as they choose. These tickets may be used by your company or donated to various local non-profit groups.

Along with paying for the many performance units and other special items that make this weekend a magical military moment, a portion of the proceeds from the Volusia County Military Salute Weekend will go to support the Unmet Needs project. This effort is spearheaded by the National VFW HQ and Vermont America. It provides grants to help military families with urgent financial needs, including medical expenses, home repairs, car repairs, infant needs, rent/mortgage and more during overseas deployment. Additionally, the funds raised during the weekend will provide financial assistance to the Jean K. Weil Foundation. This program grants scholarships to high school seniors who excel in the classroom, on the drill floor and within their community. BOTH of these foundations maintain the unique designation as having 100% of their funds used towards their intended goals, with no money spent towards management, salaries or other "overhead" items. Doing this ensure that 100% of all monies donated to both the Unmet Needs Foundation and the Jean K. Weil Foundation go directly to those deserving recipients.
