ABOUT IDR MAGAZINE
IDR Magazine is an annual 36-page publication mailed free-of-charge to over 3,000 Junior ROTC and non-affiliated competition drill units around the world. This magazine, along with the all-service National High School Drill Team Championships competition, are sponsored by the U.S. Army Cadet Command and Texas A&M University Corps or Cadets. The event and magazine are produced and distributed by National Youth Event Manager Sports Network International of Daytona Beach, Florida. The magazine is mailed each year at the beginning for the school in late September.

IDR Magazine annually maintains interesting articles related to life in Junior ROTC. Past stories have featured military icons such as: Recruit Training Command - Parris Island; New York Military Academy - West Point; U.S. Naval Academy; The Navy Blue Angels; The Air Force Thunderbirds; USMC Silent Drill Platoon; U.S. Army Old Guard; and the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Interesting, thought provoking topics are also written on as well, including: How to Form a Drill Team; The Gender Gap; Fiscal Follies 101; JROTC Drill in Texas; What to Look For in a Quality Drill Event; JROTC - Good for America; and How Do You Become a Champion?...Practice, Practice, Practice.

The magazine also features a detailed analysis of the Army Nationals, the Army Junior ROTC Championships, the NJROTC Academic, Athletic and Drill Championships, and the Air Force-only Air Force JROTC National Drill Championships. All of these fine JROTC drill competitions are managed by Sports Network International. Additional JROTC events such as the Nationals Drill Camp and the Nationals Raider Challenge events are also featured. These events annually bring together a solid corps of hard-working Junior ROTC cadets from all walks of life.

While the magazine features many items, nothing within the pages of IDR is more sought after than the scores, photographs, results and highlights from the recently completed Nationals competition. This includes the center spread of IDR which contains the official invitation to attend the following year Nationals. The internationally famous Nationals event is held each year in the late Spring at the Ocean Center Arena & Conference Center in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida.

Sports Network International strongly believes that IDR provides the perfect vehicle to showcase the outstanding drill programs that annually make the trip from across the United States to attend the premier drill competition in the world, the National High School Drill Team Championships.
