General Information on the Eastern Championships:
The U.S. Army Cadet Command Eastern Championships maintained an amazing display of drill and academic excellence. Teams from throughout the Eastern United States came to the Nation's Capital. Long-time powerhouses and upstart newer programs locked horns in a battle that was not settled until the final event of the day in some areas! Many talented and dedicated cadets and programs make the competitive the most exciting gathering of Eastern U.S. Army drill units every year. Early contact suggests the upcoming event will be another amazing display of single-service excellence!
Sports Network International looks very forward to working with U.S. Army Cadet Command and other instrumental groups that work hard to make the event a success every year. The "Army Nationals" as the overall Eastern & Western event has affectionately become known, has been designed to provide a first-class platform for all Army JROTC drill cadets to showcase their years of work as this has become the "Super Bowl of Army JROTC Competition"!

The 2008 Eastern Championships will be moving next year to the Macon Centreplex Coliseum. The prevailing wisdom currently suggests that the venue will alternate annually between these two sites to give virtually every school within the Region an easier ability to attend the event at least every other year. With a basic need for plentiful, reasonably priced hotel rooms, easy access by major highway and nearby airports, a large, indoor competition site, we expect Macon to be a fabulous home to the Army Cadet Command Eastern Championships.
Knowing that virtually all schools will need hotel accomodations, plenty of hotels all very near the competition site have been contracted and are ready to provide very reasonable billets for competitors and spectators alike. Simply click on the "ARMY NATIONALS HOTELS" link and identify yourselves as specified by each hotel. (NOTE: Schools are encouraged NOT to make hotel reservations until their entry into the event has been received and accepted).
