GENERAL INFORMATION on the NJROTC NATIONALS
The NJROTC Nationals remain the most prestigious, all-encompassing Navy Junior competition in existance today! This exciting competition brings together dozens of the finest Navy Junior ROTC units representing all parts of the country. This two-day event schedule is tight and one of the most grueling tests of overall unit balance and strength anywhere. All selected teams should be prepared for an exciting and spirited competition.

Competition events counting towards an overall title at the NJROTC Nationals are as follows:
- 100 question Academic Exam
- four athletic events (curl-ups, push-ups, 16 x 100yd. shuttle relay, and 8 x 220yd. oval relay)
- five drill events (armed/unarmed platoon basic, armed/unarmed platoon exhibition, color guard)
- Unit Personnel Inspection

The final event of the competition on Saturday afternoon will be Knockout Drills (these do not count towards any overall championship scoring). Both an Armed and Unarmed Knockout Drill will be held for all competitors with the winners receiving individual medallions.

All competing cadets receive a custom designed bronze competition medallion and a custom NJROTC Nationals T-shirt, ordered to size, as well as an 8"x10" team photo.

Team trophies as always will be large and representative of a competition of this stature. Also, each competing cadet will receive a signed "Certificate of Achievement" for their participation in the NJROTC Nationals competition. A mandatory per cadet fee of $15 has been instituted to assist in defraying some of the increased costs that will be maintained by this bigger, better NJROTC Nationals event.

A story recapping all of the events at the NJROTC Nationals will be included within the IDR Magazine. Along with interesting articles such as this, the magazine annually features scores, pictures and final standings from the most recently completed National High School Drill Team Championships competition. As always, this website will have the most current information.

This web site will be updated periodically to provide information and publicity to Navy Junior ROTC units around the world.
