Spectator Information Homepage

The Navy Nationals event welcomes non-competing JROTC cadets, instructors and parents and other well-wishers to come to the event as spectators. The NAS Pensacola is a working military base and will have guarded main gate entry which will require identification for all adults seeking entry. No parking or entry charges are a part of the event and signage will lead you to the competition area on base.

NAS Pensacola regulations require the following items be observed at all times:
  • All ineligible, non-competing cadets must wear civilian attire (not in a military uniform).
  • All non-competing cadets must maintain adult supervision at all times while on base.
  • Shirts must completely cover the mid-section and shoulders. Tank tops, half-shirts, sleeveless shirts or mesh style shirts are not permitted.
  • Shorts will not have frays or tears; cut-offs, swim trunks and boxers are not permitted.
  • Pants will not have holes, frays or tears. Overall straps must be attached over the shoulder.
  • Shower shoes are not permitted; sandals are authorized but socks must be worn with all types of footwear.
  • Shirts with shirt-tails must be tucked in.
  • No clothing with printed profanity or racial remarks.
  • No headbands, scarves or ball caps.
  • Head phones for Walkmans must be removed before entering the Galley.
  • No coveralls.
  • Male personnel may not wear earrings.
  • Dresses must have sleeves; strapless dresses or spaghetti-style straps are not permitted.

SNI has produced these internet documents to better allow JROTC cadets, parents and others looking to support these fantastic men and women by attending the Navy Nationals as a spectator. All schools looking to improve their drill team or just to watch some of the finest all-around Navy JRPTC teams in the world are strongly encouraged to attend. The rules listed above are in effect for the Navy Nationals event. That said, latitude is extended to visitors looking to simply come on base to watch their cadets perform. We want to be welcome guests so we encourage everyone to follow these basic dress rules outlined above.

Below, you will find many if not all of the documents you might need to make your trip safer and more organized. If for some reason you need additional information or have trouble downloading and/or opening any of these documents, please use the email link below and we will make other arrangements to get these to you in advance of the event.
