BILLETING / OVERNIGHT CAMPING SNI has available 2-person tents, 4-person tents and other configurations to make your stay as convenient as possible. We have over 400 tent billet spaces available for your teams but we expect these to fill quickly. We will have virtually unlimited space for those bringing their own camping gear. We will work with you well in advance to get you placed together in a tight knit group. Additional camping details are maintained within the Raider S.O.P. in Section 4. The Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base WELCOMES schools looking to camp! The costs to camp out at the facility will be a modest $5.00 per person, per night. This is a fee for staying overnight in the park whether you have your own camping tents or you would like to use the camping tents provided by the camp. These costs will be paid in advance with all other events fees and are included on your Financial Statement on page 2-2. Only in the case of emergency additions will people be added and money be collected on-site for any additional campers (NOTE: Adults and other non-competing cadets must be counted and paid for as campers if they are staying overnight, although they are not required to pay through the $15 Team Package.) Identification will be provided to all those electing to camp and these individuals will be eligible to remain overnight within the facility.
1. Your written request to obtain a camping site.
2. How many people (roughly) will be camping and whether they are just male or male and female (NOTE: we'll get specifics AFTER you turn in your folder paperwork with exact numbers as the event gets closer.
3. Whether you have your own sleeping gear (i.e., tents) or whether you are seeking camp tents.
4. Whether you will have transportation with you at all times or whether you are being "dropped off" (very important!).
