Welcome to all Raider JROTC Cadets, Instructors & Parents:
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND!
The 2007 National Raider Challenge Championships were everything we expected and more. Amazing performances were abound and cadets definitely came ready to show their stuff! Teams from 13 states with a high concentrtaion from talent-rich Georgia made for a day of tight scores and exciting finishes. Clear, crisp weather gave parents the type of spectating weather they could only dream of. The full scoring reports from each event have been posted and hundreds of event photos will be posted by the end of the day. While an Army-centric event this year, calls have already been received by dozens of new schools and a few Marine units looking to be a part of the action at the 2008 event. We fully expect the 2008 "Raider Nationals" to build on the great success of the recently competed event to again be the finest all-service, National competition of it's kind held anywhere in the world!
Sponsored and supported for years by the Georgia Army National Guard, these hard charging individuals provide logistical support both in advance of the event and during the day of the competition. They also provide the financial support that allows the FINEST trophies to be awarded in the world of Raider Competition! Without their leadership and dedication to the all-service young cadets who make themselves a part of the "JROTC RAIDER NATION", this event would not be possible!
Additional Raider Nationals support comes from Marion Military Academy and Chick-fil-A. MMI remains the nation's oldest two-year military college and a strong supporter of the Raider Nationals concept since the inception of the event. We are honored to have such prestigious organizations putting their support behind the Raider Nationals competition.
Anyone who has competed previously at Sandy Creek State Park will tell you the facility is simply excellent. We are honored to return to such a first-class venue in 2007! They have graciously set a huge portion of the park aside strictly for use at the Raider Nationals! Ample parking and showers/bathrooms are available. The natural beauty and competition facilities this park maintains are frankly unparalleled. Male, Female and Mixed teams are accepted and compete within their own competition divisions. The competition will be stiff as more and more teams will flock to the event as the years progress. Make your team a part of history at the first-ever Raider Nationals.

The costs to attend the event will be reduced to just $75 per team for 2007. Beginning this year, all competing cadets will also receive a competition T-shirt ordered to size, a gorgeous 8"x10" color team photo, as well as a competition chest medal. Competing cadets will pay a modest $15 Team Package Fee for these great competition items. Full details are maintained within the official "Raider Nationals" School Folder to be posted to this website by early August. If your Army, Marine, Navy or Air Force JROTC unit maintains a Raider team, make your plans now to participate in this exceptional test of all-around outdoor excellence!
Cedar Shoals High School JROTC has partnered with National Event Manager Sports Network International, Inc. of Daytona Beach, Florida to assist in the promotion, registration, package items and a few of the other event details. We look forward to an even closer relationship between our two entities in the future. This partnership will help to make the event larger and even more organized in the future.
SNI would like to thank the many schools that have expressed an interest in the "Raider Nationals". The competition looks to be very strong with over two dozen great schools and 45+ raider teams looking to make history at this inaugural event. It should be an amazing experience. Here's wishing all units another successful and safe year!
