Welcome to all Raider JROTC Cadets, Instructors & Parents: SIMPLY AN AMAZING COLLECTION OF RAIDER EXCELLENCE! The recently completed National Raider Challenge Championships were by all accounts another amazing success! The competition field is UNPARALLELED IN THE GROWING RAIDER UNIVERSE! The Raider Nationals will NEVER be designed to be the LARGEST raider competition, but it has quickly become the home of the FINEST and MOST TALENTED raider teams in the United States! 2013 RAIDER NATIONALS EVENT REGISTRATION BEGINS... JULY 15TH! Make a note TODAY to ensure your Army JROTC unit ENTERS AND LOCKS-UP YOUR COMPETITION SPACE! (all required paperwork will be posted on the myschool website by 7/15) The Gerald Lawhorn Scouting Base was a gracious host again this year and gave the attendees a very warm reception throughout the weekend despite the cold temperatures through the weekend! The facility remains the premiere Raider facility in the Eastern United States. Finally, the sponsorship and support of both the Georgia National Guard and the U.S. Army Cadet Command gave the event a special big-time feel that can only be generated when the big boys come out to support the cadets! Many, many thanks must go out to the 1,000+ parents, instructors and cadets who took part in this challenging test of leadership, athletics and teamwork! Your support of these tremendous young men and women help to make the Raider Nationals the special place it has quickly become! THE DATE & LOCATION IS SET AND HISTORY WILL BE MADE! The National Raider Challenge Championships HAVE BEEN A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS and the competition field is UNPARALLELED IN THE GROWING RAIDER UNIVERSE! Schools from many states including several state champions always set the date to be at the upcoming Raider Nationals event! The event is always very competitive and exciting and frankly, we can't wait to get things going! While the Raider Nationals maintain an Army-centric event surrounding, with Navy, Air Force and Marine schools annually looking to attend the competition in greater numbers each year. The competition site is first rate and no other Raider competitions of any kind use this facility so the courses are new to all when they compete here. We fully expect the upcoming "Raider Nationals" to build on the great success of the recently competed events to again be the finest all-service, National competition of it's kind held anywhere in the world! The upcoming National Raider Challenge Championships are ready for teams from across the United States to compete. Last year, scores of Raider JROTC teams attended this event, making it one of the largest competitions of it's type in existence today. Teams from New York, Missouri, Texas, Michigan and others have called to get information on attending this year and we fully expect the upcoming "Raider Nationals" to be the biggest and finest competition of it's kind held anywhere in the world! The costs to attend the event is $150 per school for up to three attending teams for the upcoming competition. All competing cadets will also receive a competition T-shirt ordered to size, a professionally shot outdoor 8"x10" color team photo, as well as a competition chest medal and free entry into the park. Competing cadets will pay a modest $15 Team Package Fee for these great competition items. Cedar Shoals High School Army JROTC has partnered with National Event Manager Sports Network International, Inc. of Daytona Beach, Florida to assist in the event set-up and other local event details. Additionally, several individuals with decades of Raider experience plan to be heavily involved to ensure all rules and regulations are followed to the letter. We look forward to working with this an even closer relationship between our two entities in the future. This partnership will help to make the event larger and even more special in the future.
