The National Military Drill Hall of Fame exists to recognize and celebrate individuals and groups who have strengthened the military drill world through their contributions. We salute persons and groups that have made the military drill world strong through their tireless energy and talents.

The National Military Drill Hall of Fame operates within a rich tradition of military drill spanning from the Revolutionary War era to the present day. Precision drill has evolved through centuries of dedication and innovation, creating the standards we celebrate today.
The journey began with Baron von Steuben's foundational work during American independence, establishing the principles of military drill that would shape our armed forces. Around 1900, General Pershing introduced innovations that refined and modernized drill techniques.
Today, precision drill continues to evolve through the exceptional performances of military service units like the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and the Army Drill Team, along with countless JROTC and ROTC programs that push the boundaries of drill excellence through competition.
The Hall of Fame recognizes excellence across multiple levels of military drill—from prestigious military service units to college ROTC programs and junior high school JROTC units that have driven drill innovation, particularly through competition-level performances that have elevated standards nationwide.
