Excellence in Judging

Sports Network International's Judging Corps is comprised of highly trained and experienced officials dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of fairness and excellence in JROTC drill competitions. Our judges bring decades of military experience and expertise to ensure every team receives accurate, consistent, and professional evaluation.

Judging at SNI Events

  • The Judging Corps at the National High School Drill Team Championships (pictured above) features all-service representation, with each judging panel comprised of one member from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force. These dedicated professionals volunteer their time and bring exceptional expertise to this critical component of drill and ceremony competition. Army judges represent Ft. Benning, Georgia; Marine Corps judges serve from Parris Island, South Carolina; Navy judges come from NIOC (Augusta) Georgia; and Air Force judges represent Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, along with other select bases throughout the Southeast. SNI also maintains a cadre of veteran judges who return annually to ensure consistent excellence and continuity in judging standards.
  • The Army National Drill Championships is judged by a distinguished panel combining experienced JROTC and ROTC instructors along with active duty Drill Sergeants.
  • The Marine Corps National Drill Championships is judged by a distinguished panel combining retired JROTC instructors and active duty Drill Instructors.
  • The Navy Nationals Athletic, Academic & Drill Championship is judged by experienced JROTC instructors with support from active duty Officer Candidate School personnel.
  • The Air Force National Drill Championships is judged by active duty personnel, primarily representing Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
