Frequently Asked Questions

Area Managers nominate schools for Navy Nationals. Once nominated they can register on the MySchool website.

Schools bring a wide variety of cadet numbers. Programs are required to have every cadet that competes standing Unit Personnel Inspection, up to a max of 40 cadets. From the entire quantity they bring, programs will field their 16 person athletic relay team (8 males and 8 females), their 16 person Curl Ups team (8 males and 8 females), their Push Ups team (8 males and 8 females), their Academic team (15 cadets), and their drill team members who will compete in Color Guard, Armed & Unarmed Basic as well as Armed & Unarmed Exhibition.

Schools have two options. The can take advantage of the Galley Meal Plan which provides lunch and dinner on Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday. This plan can be used by not only cadets & instructors but also your supporters. The only rule is that everyone with your school must eat together at the same time. The other option is to simply opt out of the Galley plan and handle the meals yourselves. There are limited restaurant options on base. Generally the few schools who handle meals themselves take care of it through parent support in the parking lot in front of the NATTC (a tailgate type set up).

There is a $20 per person fee for the package (which provides competition shirt, medal and team photo) and the optional galley meal plan cost which will be announced in mid January. See details here.
