About the World Drill Championships
The WDC began in 2007 at the urging of drill enthusiast Abdul Al-Romaizan. The event has evolved over the years, just as drill has evolved, to greater and more imaginative heights. The legacy of champions is a literal "Who's Who" of the greatest drillers of all time.

Day One - Friday
Open Entries Qualifier
- • Anyone who registers as an Open entry (not qualified in some way) must first go through an initial round of competition to determine who the top to bottom Open entries are.
- • This competition will be Friday afternoon / early evening in the WDC area.
- • Judges will be determined by a WDC support group.
- • However many spaces are available for the Preliminary Round of WDC, that is the number of top finishers that will move forward to Saturday afternoon.
Day Two - Saturday
Dual Exhibition & Solo Exhibition Preliminary Round
- • If necessary, the Open Qualifier from Friday may be continued early Saturday morning.
- • The Schedule for the day's events will be determined closer to the competition date.
- • Typically, Dual Exhibition starts around 1pm and Solos follow around 2:30pm.
- • Typically the finalists are announced across the street at the Clocktower behind the Hilton at appx 10:30pm.
Day Three - Sunday
Solo Exhibition Medal Round & Team Exhibition
- • Solo Exhibition Medal Round and Team Exhibition will be held in the Main Arena.
- • Solo competition should start at appx 10:45am.
- • Team Exhibition should start at appx 1:00pm.
Awards Gala:
- • Experience the legendary closing night formal ceremony featuring all trophy & award presentations along with special performances.

Any post high school individual is eligible to attend.
Solo, Dual and Team Exhibition all have a registration fee of $100.
In the center of the Exhibit Hall is a large competition area which will also be a practice area when not needed for the event itself. Also, the area marked as RESERVED is also a space for the WDC Community.
