What is the Spirit Banner?

The Spirit Banner is an annual award that recognizes outstanding JROTC programs that demonstrate excellence in conduct, support, and ambassadorship during the National High School Drill Team Championships.

How is the winner selected?

The Spirit Banner winner is selected by SNI Executive Staff based on months of observed positive conduct, program support, overcoming obstacles and ambassadorship.

Is there a nomination process?

No, there is no nomination process required. SNI Executive Staff observe all participating programs for months prior to the event and throughout the event itself and select the winner based on demonstrated excellence and positive behavior.

What does the winner receive?

The winning program earns the honor of displaying the spirit banner at their school for the year to recognize their achievements, as well as their name being added to the streamers of past recipients.
