About the Event Venues
The Fitness Challenge Championships consists of five events. The 3K Team Run and Physical Team Test take place on the sandy shores of Daytona Beach, while the Standing Double Jump, Pull Ups/Flexed Arm Hang, and Weighted Ball Throw take place inside the Ocean Center Arena. The beach events are just half a mile down the road from the Ocean Center, making transportation between events seamless.

Important information about competing in Daytona Beach
Location & Address
The Ocean Center is located at 101 North Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. The beach events are located directly behind the Daytona Grande Oceanfront Hotel, just half a mile from the Ocean Center.
The Seabreeze Blvd. beach acccess tunnel is the road you will use if you wish to park on the beach for the closest access to the events. If you do not wish to park, you can drop off competitors and/or spectators at the Seabreeze Blvd. tunnel.
Parking Information
Convenient parking is available at the Ocean Center in their expansive lots. Parking rates are currently $15 on the surface lots surrounding the Ocean Center but do NOT allow for in and out privileges. Schools can purchase parking passes in advance through SNI for $17 and these passes to allow you to come and go from the lot throughout the day. Bus passes are available through SNI for $30 per day. Beach parking is available for $30 (fees may vary - City of Daytona Beach manages beach parking).
Food & Beverage
Concessions are available inside the Ocean Center during events. Outside food & beverage is not allowed with the exception of ice and water for cadet needs. Building also allows visitors to bring in ONE personal beverage. Schools can pre-order packaged meals for cadets - information will be sent out in the Spring.
Changing Rooms
The Ocean Center has multiple bathroom facilities located throughout the building on the ground floor, mezzanine and 2nd floor. The beach has VERY limited bathroom facilities, but there will be port-a-potties at the entrance of the 3K Team Run.
Seating
At the beach there is no standard seating, but guests are welcome to bring folding chairs to watch the events as long as they stay clear of the marked courses. At the Ocean Center there is ample seating in the arena. There is no assigned seating for the Awards Ceremony.
Ready Areas
On the beach, schools are encouraged to arrive with plenty of time to set up a "ready area" should they choose. Many schools set up small pop-up tents to store snacks and drinks, provide shade from the sun, as well as serve as a small home-base for their cadets. This is NOT required, but it is encouraged when possible.
